Our most significant scheme to date!
We took on a 20acre parcel of Green Belt on the boundary of Bromsgrove and Birmingham from a landowner who had tried many times over his 30 year ownership to derive some value from the land, which was only being used as pony paddocks, deriving little value for the owner.
Given the very significant constraints of Green belt, and the position outside of the settlements we worked hard to identify a valuable end use for the site that we could justify. We identified a lack of provision for funeral services and set out on a lengthy journey which required very significant levels of investment and tenacity in order to delivery a highly valuable planning consent. Many challenges were overcome on the way to a successful outcome, and a great deal of fortitude was required to see this to a successful outcome. H2land pride ourselves in our ability to see through opportunities to successful resolutions.
The site was sold to one of the Uks premier Crematorium operators, with the Landowner and ourselves sharing in the significant uplift in value derived from the end use.
A portion of the site, circa 8 acres has remained undeveloped and will likely come forward as a planning application for an alternative use.
